The winter holiday season is fast approaching, Let's celebrate the holidays and festivals around the world.

I'll start with the Middle Autumn Moon Festival, and Thanksgiving, b/c both holidays celebrate harvest and family.

The doll is Mattel's Cho Chang from "Harry Potter" series, but I made her a Barbie, she is holding a box of Moon Cakes

Restyled Opal Lee on athletic yoga body. I aged her down by removing her nasolabial folds wrinkles, repainting her lip (eliminating her open mouth look), adding some color back to her hair via copic marker and giving her glasses to my mini me (because they are an exact match for me). She also got her hair slightly straightened and trimmed to even out.

Dr. Who on buff Looks 25 body. I had previously flocked his hair and mustache, but aged him by adding some of Opal’s hair trimmings.

Dumbledore (aka Dumble Daddy) is a Dumbledore with boil perm hair and beard, trimmed and darkened with a copic marker.

My mini me started as a Looks 12.

I couldn’t find an ongoing thread on her (that wasn’t the contest one) but just wanted to share that I found her in store at Mastermind Toys (in Canada). I told myself I was totally done with playline, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her and she’s just so cute, pixels and all. Plus only $29.99. I don’t love the dress, though, so she may be one I take out of the box and restyle. 😄

Buried in snow today, so I thought we'd head to the beach ☺️ This is one of my favorite playsets from the 80's: the 1989 Maxie Surf Watch Lifeguard Stand. I always loved the colors of this playset and all the fantastic little accessories! Models include: a re-bodied 2020 Fashionista Barbie, re-bodied (and de-spectacled) Princess Power Reporter Ken, and the gorgeous Looks Barbie #1. My Little Slice of Dolly Heaven - OOAKs

It's been some time since I've posted my OOAK collection.

I've had over a thousand dolls come and go in my collection over the last 25 years. I've spent the last several years reducing my collection down to about 75 dolls, keeping just the ones that bring me joy. These now include Mattel OOAKs (in another of my photo threads), a couple of prototypes, a few convention dolls and a dozen or so production dolls, with the rest being different OOAK artist dolls.

I'm going to use a combination of my photos and the artist photos, plus give you an idea of why each particular doll appeals to me.

I realize that OOAK dolls are not for everyone. Over the years, I've heard from many collectors that wonder how someone can justify spending on these types of dolls. I prefer quality and uniqueness over quantity. The attention to detail, the fabrics, the embellishments, the face paint and hair - all different, special. These are little pieces of art to me.

Each collector has a different vision for their collection. Some like vintage, some mod, some 80's/90's, some BFMC, some playline, some articulated, some by theme (fantasy, ballgown), some are in the stage of 'everything' - there is no right or wrong way to collect and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This is my collection. These dolls work for me. They make me happy. So here we go...

So Mattel is censoring our photos both in the Gallery and when we post to the forum, anyone else have issues, if I'm the only one, then maybe it's time for me to quit this company altogether. I just can't, do this. This seems, wrong and to big brotherish for a doll.
