I’m kind of not surprised anymore that we just stumble upon this stuff without an announcement. On the other hand, this is really cool and I’m glad to see HW partnering with another 1/64 manufacturer and slot cars at that!

 

I’m not sold on the price point, but I may regret it after seeing it..

Sorry for the confusing wording. I meant Autoworld is another primarily 1/64 manufacturer, not that these are 1/64

Not to split hairs or anything, but "H.O. scale cars" aren't the same "H.O. scale" as trains. "H.O. scale" cars are generally 1/64th scale, give or take a percentage point or two.

With that said, this is a really surprising set to see going into production, given the number of licensing issues involved. The package art even shows a MATTEL Meatball on the Hot Wheels logo, which is often missing on licensed products. The price is about average for that type of playset from AW, so I'm tempted myself.
