MYSTICOBRA Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Hello all. I'm looking for someone to do some custom painting on a few diecast cars. I can't do it. No equipment or talent let alone patience. I had my bumper painted on my car and have some touch up paint that would paint a bunch of cars. I've had some painted in the past and they look nice. It's Mystic paint. If anyone is interested pm me and we can talk. Thanks. R. Quote
BONES63 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I’d like to help you out but I haven’t a air brush gun. Quote
BONES63 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) You should really just try doing some customs, I’ve repainted some of these hot wheels with enough paint to cover a house. It’s pretty rewarding to see a finished car that you’ve done yourself. Edited February 1, 2020 by BONES63 Quote
MYSTICOBRA Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 Lol. I don't have an air brush or any of the equipment. It gets pricey and I won't use it after. I have more than enough paint. Just like to get some done before it just dries up. I don't have the patience to strip and I couldn't paint a nickel without putting a run in it. Just thought I'd ask. Hammer wouldn't help. Nothing I want to smash. Just a few castings painted. Here is a group I had painted. Pictures don't do it justice. It doesn't show the purples and browns..... 4 Quote

Orange_Track_Racer Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Can't help, but I always liked the Mystic Cobra's. I remember that paint being very exclusive when new . If I recall, a BASF rep would only allot just enough paint to make the repair on a damaged Mustang. Not sure if that's urban legend or not, but I'd hate to try matching that paint. Hope someone here can help you out. Quote

I'm the original owner. Took em about 12 tries to get it right. In the beginning they would get it from Ford premixed and matching cause they sent someone out. When the painter was done he had to send the leftover back.. They still have to send the leftover back. I have all the times they tried to match. Far right was the clincher..... As rare as the paint is I'm still looking for a customizer..... And have plenty of paint to share. Quote
