Question to the Admins - does the system favour Internet Explorer over over search engine, say Safari for instance? I'm in a sign-on death-loop while trying to purchase the latest car. Signed on at 11:49, knocked off at 12:15 and in an eternal sign-on loop. Won't be purchasing the latest car, I guess.

Not an admin, but IE and Safari are web browsers, not search engines. I have used Safari and Firefox successfully before.

Did you clear cache and cookies before hand? Did you try to log in multiple times or on multiple devices?

Start with one web browser (e.g., Chrome) and move on to the next if the first one isn't working for you. Yes, clear cache and cookies first (or run CCleaner). Should you have to do all this? NO!

Stay away from IE

use firefox or chrome.  i use safari.   no issue on any of those three

I purchased the latest car from yesterday ( 66 nova ) using IE ........... was even able to get the $TH set this year too.

I really think it is a lottery system to when you are able to get in. Or pure luck !!

And yes... I do clear all history and cookies as well. I even restart my computer to make sure nothing else is running in the background that I may have missed.

I am also hoping there would be a  better trick at making sure you can secure one of every car...... but I have read about so many conspiracy theories I don't know what to believe.....LOL

Customer Service has told me on 2 occasions  that Chrome works best with the site. I have Explorer and where the problem come in is after review  order and the the Complete order on Exp[orer freezes up on a really hot car day.

I have used Firefox and Internet explorer on two different computers. I have used my Ipad and my Iphone and other than the busy initial rush have had no problems ordering anything from the site. The biggest thing with people having issues is using computers that have windows prior to windows 7 and having slow internet connections. I have never used chrome on any device and like I mentioned I have had very few issues other than the site initiated issues like what has happened on this renewal. My wife and kids got through and got their renewals using the same computer so I know the problem is not on my end.

This is exactly what happened to me when I tried to renew my RLC membership. When I was finally released from the waiting room, I was asked to sign in. After I signed in no problem, I clicked the yellow banner, and was taken straight to the sign in page again. I tried different devices, different browsers, and clearing cache and cookies. I had no problems getting the '69 C\10 or the Tootsie Roll'r using the same browser and computer. Something is messed up with my account. Now when I go to the shop, I'm told I have to have a HWC account or need to create one to purchase anything. When I sign in and go back, it still tells me I need a HWC account or to create one. My 8 y/o was devastated when he got home from school and I told him we missed out because something is wrong with my account.
