THINICE Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 This has been posted and commented by other people throughout the forums, but it needs to be mentioned here. The expense of shipping should not go up just because the product line is more expensive. Now I can see why you initially may have thought this was going to be needed--higher cost, more product. But this is not the case. The general trend I have noticed is that the cost goes up typically when the packaging of the car is more fancy. Fancy packaging is nice, but if the option is to save 13 bucks for just the car and standard carded packs, most of us here would gladly take that option instead. These cars, while nicely detailed and made, are very similar in line with each other. The sharp 5-10 dollar retail price increase does not fit to what I see on the car wise. The 20 dollar Willys Gasser looks just as nice as the 25 dollar Lamborghini or 30 dollar Tootsie Roller. They are packed very similarly and sent the same way each time. The increased price on shipping does not reflect on how well you take the time to securely send it either. You literally stuff it in a box, send it with a label, and tape it shut. I can bubble wrap, tape, box, and send cars of similar weight and size half way across country in non bulk prices for 2-3 dollars less. Instead of weighing the cost of product and using that as the sole determinant of shipping price, shipping should be factored beforehand based on the product type. You've sold tens of thousands of units in the past and continue to sell tens of thousands more; you should know how much each unit costs to ship on average something. I don't mind the product price increase, but at least try and not make it seem like we're paying more for identical product. 2 Quote
