GEM427 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) Hey guys, this is a FYI for those who have Dirty Blondes on order. After updating my CC info per Mattel's request I got to thinking about something and decided to look into it, and really didn't like what I found out. I've heard about people having their order cancelled for one reason or another and this just might be one. My Selections order was placed last year like everyone, and I used a CC to pay for it. Before last year ended our card was comprimised and we had to have it replaced. When we updated our account we have entered all the new info which is now our default card. Here is where the rub starts. I have sent e-mails and talked with several people on the subject and get pretty much the same answer from everyone. According to Mattel they can NOT replace the payment method with the new information, which is very hard to understand with a company as large as Mattel. When these orders go live they will attempt to run the old card first, when it's declined only then will they send you an e-mail telling you so and it's up to you to call them and instruct them to use the new default card. The way I see this is for whatever reason you don't see this e-mail or if it's directed to your spam and you somehow miss it you could loose your order as it will be cancelled due to non payment!. I just can't understand why they can not go ahead and change info to your default payment card and do away with the e-mail thing completely. It seems so simple to me.....is there something i'm missing? Ive asked over and over ,can't you just flag my account with a note that reads use current default card on file,? The answer is no....they have to send you the e-mail saying your card was declined.......and wait until they here from you which i'm sure is just going to delay your shipment as you wait for all of this to happen.........Help me OBI 1......LOL..cry! 1967STANG Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 This happens every year with the Selections cars. When they are ready to ship, you will get an email if your card is no longer valid for whatever reason. You will have 10 days to contact them to update your info. Nothing you can do about it. At least they give you a chance, instead of just cancelling your order. Check the approximate shipping date & watch your emails. You may not come on here every day, but I am pretty sure you check your emails daily. I have to do the same thing. Just part of the process. 3 Quote email is ksbe@shaw.ca
