Ramone6513 Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Anyone got answers on why Walmart’s HW mainline stock as withered down to almost nothing?
94Blazer Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 My best guess is that it's more lucrative for Wal-Mart to dedicate space to the premium stuff. Lots of extra overhead with mainlines - take longer to stock, for example. Either that or they just aren't selling very well these days. Who knows.
cmbeal317 Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Can't speak for other areas, but I know our rep screwed up and we should finally be getting bins shortly. Haven't seen any since the end of the year.
Technician68 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I have a theory maybe because of shipping delays possibly due to Corona Virous. Even though it stems from China the shipping containers might get quaranteened or sanitized before next load. Especially if the Same containers frequently go thru China and Malaysia presumably on the way to Ports of LA Or Oakland. It seemed the slowdown started around the time this pandemic surfaced on the news

Hope not but for see possible major back order issues in the future.

yardbird Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Chinese New year happens every year with all Asian imports. Now corona virus added. FedEx has nothing to do with it.
SAMACE26 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Yeah I have a feeling it will be a delay with stores getting new hotwheels in with this virus going around. My stores around here where I live are not putting out to many new hotwheels around here either.

Yup I see the delay is to May and due to the problems of the checkout site I could not complete the checkout process last Tuesday unlike the two I scored prior to the Tootsie Roller. Since it saved card info like Ebay and it shows the Skyline in cart still and with out of stock... yet it still requires an effing reentering of same card used fir years...and did not have card with me for reentering the card data. Its these unforeseen cicumstances that prevents but back to the subject it certainly seems plausable and hopefully not due to recent news over weekend with US citizens that have not visited China on Business or vacation. Maybe someone here who perhaps collects and works in. A container port here or overseas could shed light on the subject.

Well the delay we are refereing to stems from the Manufacturing end. I do not believe RLC club cars are shipped from factories via Fed-Ex Air Freight but I could be wrong. Maybe if our theiries are right about the virous delay it would be feasable to Air Freight it to USA as I believe Air Freight id more carefully checked and possibly Irradiated like the Post Office Main Distribution centers due since 911 and the related events with Mail delivery contamination.
