Been lots of neat matchbox the last couple years. I buy a few year but not as many as I would like. There are some nice convention/toy fair pieces out there of matchbox.

We don't see metal chassis Matchbox on store shelves like we do Hot Wheels.

Would be neat to see a club similar to RLC that could showcase such models? Would there be enough interest?? Thoughts..

Would be nice but I don`t think it would be allowed on this site.

No I'm not taking about a merged club. I know Mattel owns both labels. I'm talking about an independent club...

I'd like to see a premium Matchbox line similar to car culture (metal/metal, real riders) at retail. A club would be cool too but I'm sure that the "fanbase" is there. The level of enthusiasm of Hot Wheels collectors is unmatched (at  least in the USA).

Nice idea, but I don't think it'll happen. There used to be a Matchbox collectors website similar to HWC but Matchbox closed it down due to lack of participation.

Could contain: Car, Coupe, Sports Car, Transportation, Vehicle, Outdoors, Scenery, Mustang, Machine, Spoke

Yes HOTWHEL COLLECTORS out number MATCHBOX COLLECTORS but Matchbox does have some cool castings mostly work related , especially older castings.

I wonder if participation would be a bit bigger now....???? Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like collecting has grown since I first started 5 years ago. Plus matchbox has really changed in the last five years.?

Yes. THIS. I would love a premium set like car culture. They have made some strides with opening features line and they have their version of haulers. But still plastic bases. There are several Matchbox pieces I would love to see in metal/metal.
