what has happened to me beloved dairy delivery? It used to get used in the mainline and premium lines every year, but it seems to be gone now.  All that we have now are the monster version and the drag version.

Sorry, extra, better get used to it. Due to weight restrictions for shipping purposes, ALOT of our favorites will prolly no longer be found in the mainlines. Same reasoning behind fewer and fewer metal bases and bodies. And your beloved (and a lot of other folks), Dairy Delivery is a massive drain on reclaimed metal reserves.

being an all metal casting I can see how it would be a loss in the mainlines, but I dont understand why it isnt still used in the premiums. Im thinking the molds are worn out?

As Tony said above, Dairy Delivery's very hefty. While its days of being part of the mainline are probably gone, I expect the model to remain a mainstay in Pop Culture releases, mailaways, or convention exclusives. Its size also affords graphic designers great leverage when decorating the vehicle; I doubt Hot Wheels would permanently get rid of such a canvas

If you are a fan of Dairy Delivery, perhaps you may appreciate the actual brand it's based after? In that event you might be pleased to learn Matchbox is busting out a new 1948 Divco Milk Truck casting as part of mix 3 of their Moving Parts segment this year

The Dairy Delivery was never an all-metal casting in the mainline. The DD hasn't shown up in the mainline since 2009 and I doubt it will ever show up there again. The Premium version is still here, most recently used as a 2019 Zamac Collector Edition.

They could probably retool a new version of the car as a plastic plastic model. They still have the 77 Dodge van and the Supervan in the lineup, and the DD could fit right along into their scale. Either that or bring it back as a metal/metal series into the Target Throwback.

I think it's a neat casting, but I'm not losing sleep over it bring gone.

There are no current plastic/plastic castings in any line to my knowledge, so I doubt they would create a plastic/plastic version of the DD.

I want the dairy delivery to come back also. It is one of my top 10 favorite hotwheels castings. ?But last year I wasn't able to get the legends tour one because the legends tour never came to my area. So I definitely want to see the dairy delivery back in the mainlines again or in one premium sets again or I want to see it as a mail-in car again. ?
