That1dudeguy Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Is there anything being done or discussed about boxes being shipped to the states missing super treasure hunts, or employees at department stores going through the boxes before releasing then to the public? A fellow collector and myself have been first on scene to a few walmart supercenters located in baton rouge LA and Shreveport LA that have been sorted through missing 1 or 2 cars from a full box with no regular or super treasure hunts. While videos are releasing on youtube about workers in hot wheels shipping warehouses are taking out super treasure hunts before shipping. I guess my biggest question is this even a concern for Mattel, are they aware of it, and is there anything that cam be done or are collectors just out of luck? Quote
LAFITE Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Can you post the links to these videos where 'workers in hot wheels shipping warehouses are taking out super treasure hunts before shipping.'? Thx! Quote
MYSTICOBRA Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 What can be done is don't buy them on the secondary and try and get a set next week! ????? 1 Quote

The addiction is real Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 I know here in Australia , i have opened up to 10 sealed boxes , with Blue stickers on half of them , saying it has been factory repacked and resealed . and those boxes have been full but no Treasure hunt or no super treasure hunt in them. only on the ones that have the blue sticker on them and those boxes have had mixture of cars in them from 2 different boxes mixed together. its a strange world we live in , but in the end life will go on. i am yet to find a super treasure in the wild since 2009. Mike_J Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 There is nothing that will be done. I’m sure something could be done, but the folks who could fix it don’t care. 1 Quote
6T9BOSS9 Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 One solution would be to offer a Core RLC Membership that nets the member a regular plan like now. And An enhanced Core Plus plan that includes a Super treasure hunt set. You really want a set, show the money renewal time, done. If you cant afford it now you cant afford it later. Unlike the Chrome and Subscription Plans from years ago which were likely dropped due to administrative migraines chasing down people to hit their Credit Cards. This one works in reverse from a billing perspective. I'm sure Ynon would rubber stamp this in a heartbeat You could say this is analogous to Pre selling unreleased product that has been the topic in other threads, but consider the source of this type of pre sale if it ever should happen. 1 Quote NYT
BxtrToys Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Employee sniping is a huge problem. Ive witnessed it a few times. 1 Quote
871BLOWER Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 They could solve this problem easily. Put a super in every case and flood the market. I don't see that happening. Just imagine how tuff it is for Short Cards and us International collectors. Mattel needs to take their brand back. stolen supers are just the tip of the iceburg. So many customizers reproduce the LOGO now. I can barely tell what is legitimate anymore. 1 Quote CHANGE because somebody wants more money
