A lot of us have complained aboot Mattels last few choices of where we have to go to buy cars for the mail in promo since k-mart is no longer an option, and now they have chosen a place the west does not have ok maybe a few stores here and there but in North California pretty much none near any population, why wont you ask all of us where we can all participate, instead of picking some rinky dink chain most do not have, I think even O'REILYS or 7-11  would of been a better choice, I have been stating for a while now that if you just put the mail in a 36 count case and sell it in the shop everyone gets to buy it , and you Mattel get to sell the case at full price with no discount to the retailer ,you make more money, what a novel concept.

When Mattel runs these promotions, there will ALWAYS be someone unhappy with the situation. There always has been, ever since the first ones with Kmart.

Dollar General is in 46 states. That's way more than Kmart had when they were dying out.

Mattel won't sell these on their sites because retailers do not like competing directly with  their suppliers in regards to retail product.

Edit: How is 7-11 a better choice?

I just want to be able to get it but I'm in Washington state and none near me or in Idaho. Sounds like not many in Oregon either if any.

Ask a friend who has DG to help you, especially if they don't have access to the Kroger/Fred Meyer promo.

I got lucky last year with Kroger a friend help me out with that mail-in because where I live I don't have Kroger or any store related to Kroger where I live. But I do have a bunch of dollar generals where I live. So I will definitely be getting my 20 hotwheels to send in for the mail-in 1969 Nissan skyline van station wagon. ?

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll share it here too.

Dollar General operates in 44 states. They don't have stores in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, or Washington State. Technically, they don't operate within the boundaries of DC either - but they are clearly within driving distance.

Dollar General operates 16,368 locations in the United States, McDonald's operates 13,826 locations, Wal-Mart operates 4,769 locations, Target operates 1,844 locations. K-Mart? As of May 2020, they will be operating 45 locations in the United States, the bulk of which are in California.

Geographically speaking, Wal-Mart is better spread out, but there are still large areas of square mileage without one. Regardless of what one might believe, there is no "perfect" solution. Somebody somewhere is going to get left out. I get left out of every regional exclusive Hot Wheels offers to stores like Kroger, but complaining doesn't really fix it.

I can think of 14 DG's off the top of my head just in my county. I pass at least one on the way to work every day. Not a Kroger for 80+ miles.

The closest Kroger affiliate seems to be in our neighboring state which borders the opposite of the side I live on, easily 200 miles just to get the state line. I don't even know where the nearest actual Kroger is.

I could complain about it, or I could just accept that I won't be able to purchase the exclusive toy cars they offer there and move on with my life.
