KIDKIWI4 Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Something from down under- valiant charger (e49) holden HQ-HZ wagon, statesman, sandman VH commodore XR/XT/XW/XY/XA/XB/XC Ford Falcon and why, because there are nice looking versions that get overlooked. But a quick google search will have you looking at standard versions through to show spec cars/ drag cars/ burnout cars /cruisers 6 1 Quote
sevenXsix Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Personally, Matchbox needs to be more bold. Simply re-coloring existing castings isn't enough to justify the prices and premium name these releases claim. Don't get me wrong, I like the cars I've bought and will continue to buy if the casting is to my taste...but upgraded paint, assumed lower production number (put a number on the box already...such an easy way to pump up sales) and a fancy display case doesn't add enough value given the prices we are paying. We've been supporting Mattel in these, and every release has sold out...it's time to step it up. In the future I'd like to see premium, Mattel Creations only castings offered along with the cheaper re-colors. Yeah, they'd be more expensive, but I have no doubt the design team could come up with models that would be special enough and worth the cost. Make them really nice, highly detailed, and at the quality level we expect from Matchbox. MB is the premium brand after all, start acting like it. Other toy lines on this site have used crowd funding to guarantee purchase numbers, do that. Super Kings/Super Convoy/Real Working Rigs would be a perfect fit for the first offering. How about a metal only, correct 1:64 scale car hauler? It's a slam dunk if done right. Either re-release a casting from the past (something like the King Size K8, Super Kings K12 or Super Convoy Car Hauler) or use a new/modern subject (for the love of pete..no electrics, you need something with universal appeal for the first offering). Then it's time for something real big...like the MG-1 Service Station. Expensive...absolutely, but if there's is no interest, and the crowd fund fails, you don't lose out in production cost. Btw, it would totally sell out. The MOTU guys just had a $550 play set get funded and they sold 9K of them. Do the math, the gross $$s are insane. Why the RLC isn't doing this with store displays is crazy to me...just leaving money on the table. Oh, yeah...there's another idea, MB store displays...easy money. Anyway, that's my 2 pennies. I'm not unhappy with what has been offered, just a little disappointed since I know you guys are talented and can do better. 3 1 Quote
RBZ Diecast Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I've got another one: how about a new Lesney throwback line? I know they have reproduced some of the originals within the last 30 or so years but I would love to see more. I'm starting to get a little too jealous of all of you who keep finding Lesneys at yard sales and I want a piece of that action! 2 Quote

Willstang Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 To Matchbox Team : If do you ask me that question in person, lol...I can give you like 50 cars names and models, but I will choose the Ford Mustang Milano Concept, why this specific model, well... for my understanding you CAN'T find this specific model in 1/64 scale I do Believe it's just 1/43 scale, and it's a trowback to the future, means actual cars looks very closer to those concepts from the 60s and 70s. Also if you guys are able to do one "Concept Series" with those cars { Please think in the American Concepts for the first run } so..Please let me know 3 Quote
