A few things for our newer members...

We have a lot of new/younger members that have joined our MH forums in the last month. Let's touch on a few things...

I'm one of the Moderators on the Mattel Creations overall site. I've been around for 20 years, mainly on the Barbie forums and have taken on the MH forum. I am a collector so I do have knowledge of the product and I've been around long enough to understand what should or shouldn't be posted on this type of forum. This is not really like other social media sites. This is an older forum-style site.

Feel free to share your opinions on products, however, we don't do rude, confrontational, tantrums, shock and awe or obnoxious behavior here. We will remove/hide any post or even an entire thread that violates the spirit of the community we've tried to create. This is a Mattel-run site. We love when you share your collections, information, likes, dislikes or general comments. No matter your age, please act like an adult. We don't allow attacks on other members or Mattel personnel. If you simply can't behave, you will be removed from the site. If you're into arguing and confrontation, there's probably another social media site out there for you but we don't do that here.

Before you start a new thread, check the top dozen or so threads on the first page to see if we there is already a thread going regarding your topic. We try to keep like subject matter within an existing thread. Chime in or ask your question there instead of starting a new thread.

There are times when you might be looking for answers and we'll try to provide them. Understand that we can't always give answers due to information restrictions from Mattel. It's not that we don't want to provide information, it's that we simply can't. We do have guidelines to follow.

Join in the discussions, share, show your excitement, gripe a little, let us know what's happening with your collections. This should be your 'happy' place, a place where others collect what you collect, a place where all the people 'get it' when you are excited about MH.

Thank you so much! I was getting worried with the sudden influx of negativity and rudeness. Hopefully we still retain our newcomers but with a changed attitude! All are welcome here but not all behaviors should be tolerated! 🤗❤

There's certain terms that Mattel Corporate have set up to be automatically filtered out or changed, using creative spelling to get around is frowned upon. Users have and will be moderated for this.

Venting your frustrations is allowed, but if people start insulting each other or just being nasty about things, it will be closed down & if there's things in there reported, they will be acted upon.

Kind of to introduce myself, I'm Tasmanian Devil and I've been involved with the HWC forums since 2005. I've been a moderator there twice now. Once in the mid 2010s for 3 or 4 years, and now again since 2020 as Hot Wheels wanted some moderators who were not in the US time zones. I live in Australia. I'm helping @GRIFFINGIRL mod here, and I do try to look in from time to time, but if there's something reported, I will check on it. Sometimes it's just a matter of hiding things, other times, more action will be taken.
