By the way, this set is still available for pre-order at Big Bad Toy Store, at lower than normal price, i.e. $79. It ran out then reappeared then ran out and now reappeared again.

Every time I see it I am conflicted since I prefer the twins with the face pattern they have in the original web series and their G1 dolls. Why did they change this? And Torelai with the super-short haircut she also had in the web series. So I'm conflicted on whether to get this one or hold off until they have 'G1' dolls... but I know that the odds of G1 dolls is very low, and this is a pretty nice set. So like I said, conflicted. 🤷‍♀️ The price is a deterrent too since though it makes sense, I am very short on doll budget and getting this set means holding off on yet more newly issued dolls. I already held off on various new MH drops like the skullimates series 4 and two of the Fearbook dolls (that ironically feature Torelai with shorter hair but it's STILL not the haircut she had in the original web series.)

Edit: also, while it's a cute set, the clothes aren't up to par with recent Monster High drops. The quality and fashion just isn't quite there. Which is disappointing given how great or interesting the fashions are for many of the recent drops, both the G3 playlines and the G1 collectibles. The fabrics on this set seem super basic in comparison-- why is that? So that contributes to my hesitation too.

I just received my dolls today from BBTS. I’m blown away by how fantastic they are. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend them. I feel like I got my money’s worth from just one of the dolls, and I got three for the price! I would’ve preferred three T-shirts and three guitars instead of all the tiny accessories, but for people who are into all the tiny accessories, they’re very well done and fun. I especially love the Caboodles case and the little Monster High compact. Toralei didn’t come with a saxophone, but I felt like all three of them deserved to have musical instruments.

Lol, forgot about her tail tambourine when I wrote this. Technically, she does come with an instrument, but I like her playing the saxophone better. 😸
