Matteopower80 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I see the line up of Masterverse figure for spring 2025 and no Princess of power figure. I love origins figures and is great to have some Princess of power characters in the line but I was hoping to see more also in Masterverse like Scorpia, Flutterina, Bow, Glimmer, Adora. As a collector I'm not really happy to have just She-ra and Frosta. What do you think about the probably end of this line? It would be nice if Mattel tell us if the line is ended or continue in 2025. 1 Quote
Motufan80 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 masterverse is more of a remix of motu's greatest hits. It started out as a toyline for the kevin smith series but soon started to remix the line. 1. Revelation got 32 figures. Likely, many of them were studio mandated 2. New eternia got 21 (counting snout spout as new eternia), in my opinion, the best masterverse subline 3. PoP got 7, yes seven figures. 4. Revolution got 5 figures. (quite the drop here) 5. the 80's movie only got 4 figures, if any, we need more of these, where are my Kevin Corrigan and Detective Lubic figures Mattel?!?! 6. The new adventures got 3 figures. 7, the CGI show got 2 figures (thank heavens 🤐) The masterverse line constantly gets interupted by different sub lines. If they make more PoP, the movie fans will complain Or the new adventures fans (both of them) start complaining about the lack of new adventures figures. Just like the origins line, mattel started with the popular characters and kept making them again and again (how many he-mans, skeletors, man-at-arms and beastman's did we get in either line? i don't know if it's a lack of trust in their own line or Mattel employees not understanding their own ip and started googling wich characters were popular in the 80's. And let's be fair, PoP was not that popular. When ever a line gets rebooted, it's always the popular characters, rarely PoP 1 Quote

Masterverse was designed from the beginning as collector's toyline for MotU figures from different origins and eras and Revelation happened to be the first topic. It was never a dedicated toyline for the Revelation cartoon. 1 Quote

Do you have a source where mattel states this before the line started? Quote
Delugeonal Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Yeah, the first 3 waves were easy passes, but as soon as new eternia subline for Masterverse showed up, it was over for my wallet. The name of the line implies a motu multiverse of figures, so yeah, new adventures, new eternia, and cgi netflix were amazing... still waiting on Gary and Justine-TriKlops, mattel! 😊 Quote
