LauraLA Posted November 24 Posted November 24 When they first came out they were really difficult to get at the toy store, even then resellers would grab them up and slap them on resale sites. It was fun to find them on the shelves at retail. I didn’t even know they had began making them again until a friend told me, wish I had known when the creepy good clown doll came out! 2 Quote
Vanessa Holguin Posted Friday at 02:33 PM Posted Friday at 02:33 PM It was around 2015 when I was shopping and saw them and fell in love with the aesthetic. Barbie, but baddies and it stuck. First purchase was the 2 foot tall dolls that bled into exclusives. I went overboard and probably plopped down $2,000 but hot damn, was it a fortuitous and lucrative pursuit. Fast-forward a decade later and that $2,000 has brought in $10,000 in ebay sales and I've only sold 1/3 my collection (and still have my B&W Frankie~ ). Such luck, such fortune, I thank God often for me to have scooped up something so wunderbar und perfekt... I wasn't even trying to make $$$, it just happened. The G1s in box I assume are rare af I guess? I'd only let all mine go for a very hefty price in bulk, because they are flat out awesome to look at and admire; fantastic quality and packaging, something you can only get nowadays here at the Mattel shop and yet those were the ones sold publicly back then! It's crazy... crazier still that Monster High was almost completely kaput around 2019/2020 ish. If you physically want the dolls out of box, best bet is creeproduction! 1 Quote
