Adza Posted November 2 Posted November 2 What does everyone think of the possibility of geting some of the smaller characters from the He-Man & She-Ra cartoons being released? Mattel Creations would seem to be a better fit to release them as they may not have the wide appeal of instantly recognizable characters that release to retail. I'm talking about characters like Orko, Dree Elle, Uncle Montork, Kowl, Imp, Madam Razz & Broom, Loo-Kee, Star Child, The Twiggets, The Widgets, The Manchines, even the Bibbets. Ok maybe not the Bibbets lol. Some could come in 2packs or more depending on the characters. I would absolutely throw money at that. I am unashamedly a huge fan of both 80's cartoons & while I love Origins, the Cartoon Collection figures are the toys I really wish I had as a kid. I love them. I see that the robot that comes with Horde Trooper Prime is basically the same as the Classics release of the Hover Robots. Would some of the characters I mentioned above that got a release in Classics scale ok as well if re-released in the Cartoon Collection? If so, that could save some precious tooling money if those molds are available and able to be reused like the Horde Hover Robot. I have no idea about the logistics of that, just spitballing ideas here. Thought it might be worth a post even if it's just to start a discussion. Quote
Motufan80 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 The motu origins line could use some worldbuilding. Smaller creatures and monsters (like the snake mountain acid pool creatures or the eternia batlefield lizzards) Cardboard backdrops (like star wars did and the fans do now) Mounts (swiftwind?) And background characters (there is a palace guard but no queen marlena???) those cartoon figures could fit into this catagory. Is the 80's cartoon still viewable in the usa? Are kids still watching this? Is there a market apeal for these? 1 Quote
