Totally new to all this so I will ask a lot of dumb questions because I only know what I know .

1.  how many of yall collect the whole series , I do not ,

2. when selling on VMP , do you get a credit to buy things on Mattel creations or is it just for fun no monetary value.

3. can you trade nft here for some you may want , I have many extras.(I have no flow so there's that)

4.when a series drops how much do you spend .

5. How many of us do it just for a redeemable car .

6, Do you care what cars are in a series , I am not a big fan of fantasy cars or F and F , but would love some series that are just trucks, jdm ,low riders, American muscle .

Any and all input will be appreciated good or bad .

I started collecting in Series 4, when the NFTG project was moved in-house to Mattel Creations. That's when they made pack purchases available like any other item on the shop, via credit card or Paypal (when no crowdfunds were running). Since then, I've gone back and purchased whole series (meaning the Showroom in every series) for a nebulous future completion reward. This was not a quick decision, in fact, I had given up on completing series when I started collecting, due to the high price on Showrooms. However, after spending long hours on the Discord chat with NFTG believers made me change my mind. I was totally brainwashed 😆

This year we finally got the purple Silverado, the reward for completing any one of Series 1-4 (2022 Completion Reward). Waiting for Mattel to announce the reward for Series 5-6 (2023), and then Series 7-10 (2024).

If you don't collect whole series, that's OK. The redeemables are great, and it's the only way I can get STH-like Hot Wheels straight from Mattel.

Selling and buying on the MP is done with Flow, a cryptocurrency. One can buy and sell for fun, and finally "off ramp" that Flow into real currency (fiat currency). Depending on where you live, this process is different. The official way Mattel recommends is opening an account with Coinbase, which ties to your bank, etc. You can also find someone willing to buy Flow for credit into PayPal or various other methods (Discord).

You can list your extras on the Virtual Marketplace. Alternatively, you can hit up #hw-trades channel on Mattel's official Discord. https://discord.gg/mattelcreations

To easily find your extras and list them, use Hobbot (created by mrhobbles on Discord): https://hobbot.digitaldiecast.net/

On Hobbot, enter your Mattel wallet ID and hit Set. The right-most column (My Mints) links to your NFTs. The left-most column (the checklist icon) list to sales history.

You can find your Mattel wallet ID in many ways. One way is to go to the MP > Click on your upper-right user icon (might need to Sign In) > Click on My Items > Click on the gray button on the upper-left that says 0x123...1234.

It depends. I buy 4-8 packs per series. Kinda wish I'd gone big for the Fast and Furious 2024 set. Some people go upwards of 20, 50, 100 packs.

Yes. I do it for the redeemables, but I enjoy looking at what cards are available. A bit disappointed that the last 2 main series have graphics that are just digital versions of mainlines or premiums, compared to the Awesome and imaginative decos of Series 4, 5, 6 (lights and effects and decos that may be too detailed even for premium). However, I've sort of come around. I kinda like there's a digital representation of a Hot Wheels I already own.

 

Some people on the Discord call these "shrapnel". You know... ripping a pack and getting shrapnel 😉
