Guest Hoodle1572395218 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I was looking for something to supplement an order on Amazon to get free shipping and stumbled on this: Barbie 50th Anniversary There is very little information available there and a quick google search turned up nothing more. Anyone know anything about this? It looks beautiful but I just can fathom the price point on it. Thanks!
Guest scientistsoltero1572371242 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 it looks amazing but is even more expensive than the new Harry Potter related book, The Tales of Beedle, collector edition which I paid $100. I can justify that price for HP but not for Barbie (at least for me).
Guest mschulz1572397502 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 it appears to be a photo book.. now if was a BFMC book, I would pre-order.
Guest BUSTERBLUESUN Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 looks like it's in canadian dollars...how much is that in us????
MARVLOUS Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 right now the us and canadian dollar are equal and that is way too much to pay for that book Marvlous ANC Charter member "Yes I still Play with Dolls "
Guest TOYBOX1572402193 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Should be = or just about near close when you convert US to Canadian buckaroos!
JUDYRAE Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I only buy books I can actually read, although this looks very interesting. 50 years can encompass a lot of information, pictures, etc. Definitely a wait & see what the real story is about this book. No way would I order ANY book sight unseen. Collect what you love & you will love your collection. Bigotry wrapped in religion is still bigotry.
Guest Lolo510 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Lisa, good looking out. The book looks nice, but the price ugggh . I would like to get a book with all of the Barbies (including BFMC) and fashions illustrated, now that might justify the price for me.
