Anyone interested in a Allentown, PA get-together?

Hello all.

For lack of an "official Barbie club" here in my area, I was thinking that if I had enough interest maybe I could host an informal get-together at my house. Everyone could bring their favorite doll. I have quite a bit of room in my "Barbie basement" and would set up some tables. Maybe we could even be creative and try a sweater dress as a craft or something like that. I am open to ideas. If anyone that has done something similiar has any ideas, please email me. I would love some guidance.

 

I live in the Allentown, PA area. Close to Philly, pretty close to the Poconos, and very close to the NJ border. I live minutes from the Allentown turnpike exit. Email me with your thoughts and interest. I was thinking something post Christmas after all the craziness dwindles down.

Wish we were a bit closer in locals! I'm on the other side of PA, about a half hour from Pittsburgh and wish there were some fellow collectors in the area I knew.

I live in Delaware about 1 1/2 hours from you but if you set a date let me know and I'll see if I can make it. It sounds like fun! My club is very busy and we haven't had a meeting in awhile (one member moved into a new house and we did all get together to help them move but it wasn't a meeting!!!) so I'd love to play dolls!!!

Hi! So glad you responded to my post. We actually met in January at my house. We had about 9 ladies come from both NJ and PA. Some drove as far as you would so if we have another get together I will gladly keep you in the loop. It would so nice to have another new face. It was a great experience for all of us and we are talking about doing it again. We did a little craft (sweater dress) and had show and tell too. I saw so many neat dolls I didn't even know about but of course most of us had our Barbie's Looking forward to meeting you sometime. Take care.
