Guest mandy4384 Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 There are many books out there (after some research around 93 without counting re-edited books), some that are really nice are not in the list and for some several editions are listed when the only really worth it is the last one (for a rule the last one as it is just slightly modified). The first book : Barbie: The first 30 years a second edition came out a few months ago, I think it should be there instead of that one. The Olds book, only the 5th one is necessary (I particulary don't like this book because it has no pictures or real prices, but it is a well docummented listing of items). For the Ausgustyniak Encyclopedi there is a version from 2001 that is similar to the golden one but has a silky instead of the harley, that should be the version displayed and not the 2 currently there. There is a volume III for the Sarah Sink Eames fashion collection, And I think they should be displayed one following the other. Other books not mentioned that are kind of good: -Barbie In Japan -Barbie Doll Structure and Furniture -Skipper: Barbie Doll's Little Sister -Collector's Guide to Barbie Doll Paper dolls -Dream Doll: the Ruth Handler Story This is a review I have posted in Amazon about Barbie collecting books: Barbie books Hope this helps some, sincerely, -Amanda http://netdial.caribe.net/~alhf
