I think that Barbie will not be paired with Smurfs because smurfs do not have the popularity of being retro like Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears. Looney Tunes and Curious George are always popular and Spongbob is only currently popular. Besides, Smurfette is the only smurf with similar fashion sense and most children today are unfamiliar with the smurfs. I would still buy a Smurf and Barbie set.
