Guest BC JeffG Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 For a few years now I have been listening to Mattel explain that they "are looking into it" when the question of shipping overseas is mentioned. I would not have thought it was that difficult either legally or technically to do this rather simple thing. As a collector all the way from Australia, I get very annoyed at being treated as a second class collector, especially when we have very little access to limited Barbies. If we do get lucky enough to buy one, we are then hit at least US$25.00 for shipping. I feel that Mattel ignores the smaller countries. We obviously must not bring in enough profit for them to worry about catering for us here. But then how would Mattel know as they offer very little to the overseas collector. I just get tired of hearing the same old responses to the question of shipping here, I really think 3 or so years is long enough for Mattel to have at least made a token effort to please its international customers. Guest BC JeffG Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Hi Lin, I know International shipping is a sore spot with many people (myself included). As I've said in other posts, the tax, administrative, customs, and other issues involved make shipping outside the U.S. and Canada too restrictive at the current time. If things change, we will certainly update members via the bulletin board. Believe me when I say that we haven't simply sat idly on this issue for the past 3 years - it's an ongoing topic of research here. Unfortunately, we just don't have a good solution that is workable at the moment. Hope that helps, Jeff
