Posted that I hated the new site last week, shereem gives the, from what I've read,  usual 'just wait and you will love it! answer and ends the discussion.  so, I check back and wonder why there are so many threads about the same topic.  I see that they all get the standard response by shereem and the discussion is ended.  what's up with that?

Hi there!  As your post from November 15th was in the Member Complaints area, the policy has been that once a mod answers the post, the thread is closed.

While there have been numerous posts about the web site not all of them have been closed.  Some have been moved to other forums such as Ask BC, Off Topic, or FAQ.

Closing a thread is not something we do "willy nilly".  As moderators we try and keep the board organized and moving in a positive direction and fun for all the members here.  Sometimes though we may have to close a thread that gets too heated or which creates a hostile or negative environment.

Hope this answers your question.

There are many reasons for closing a thread.  Any complaint started in the Member Complaint section is closed after a moderator replies ~ standard policy, no matter which moderator answers.  Threads that are duplicates of others are typically closed so we don't have so many on the same topic ~ this has been requested by the members so they don't have to read/reply to the same content over and over.

The moderators are on the board trying to assist members through this transition.  That's why you see many posts from me and will continue to see them.  Since this is the site that we have now, we try to encourage those with just a few posts to work with the site for a bit to become more comfortable with it.  More upgrades are also on the way over the next months.

The particular questions that you asked have been answered many times in different threads.  That's why we suggest that you look around first, specifically at the FAQ topic posted at the top of every forum, as you will probably find the answer is already there.

If you have a specific issue, please feel free to pm any of the moderators, as we're happy to help or find a rep who can better assist.
