Guest autigerlily38 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I read about this doll last week when I got the email and planned this morning around buying her. Was on the website by 10:28 am CST and waited until 11:00 am to try and purchase her. Successfully added her to my bag and then tried to check out at which point the website timed out. I got back to the page for her and tried to add her to my bag again and it said I was over the limit, so I hit remove for the one item and it took both out for some unknown reason. By the time I got back to try and purchase her it was sold out. To say I am livid is kind. Right now I feel like Barbie Fan Club is simply a scam to get people to sign up for "exclusives" like the Rose Gold Barbie and then not have adequate online service to back up orders and web traffic. I am so incredibly disappointed that I really do not think I will rejoin BFC or order again because the whole point to me wanting to add her to my collection was the rarity of her. Let's face it, you can go to hundreds of other sites to order Barbie but the point to a club is the scarcity of particular items...Walmart sells Barbie so it is not that I cannot get them somewhere else. Totally disgusted and disappointed and would like to know what is going to be done to prevent this from happening, if there is a next time for me.
SHEREEM Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 The doll was put on sale at 9am PT, which is 12:00 pm (noon) ET. She was available for approx 20 minutes before selling out. We're sorry that you missed her but there are only 999 available and we have many thousands of BFC members. Not everyone that wanted her was able to get her.
