Danny Carrington Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Twilight Jane, Renaissance Faire, Japan Barbie and two of the Blue Jeans Basics dolls all have hollow legs. I (and, judging from posts on this site, many other collectors) find these legs to be of lesser quality than those used on other dolls. I debox my dolls and something like this is very obvious to me. I actually prefer the straight-up posture of these dolls over the regular (tilted) Model Muse sculpt but the legs feel very cheap to me. The Model Muse sculpt is hardly my favorite (I prefer dolls with Barbie's classic hourglass silhouette) the addition of cheap legs is a deal-breaker for me. I will not be buying any more dolls that use this type of leg. I would be willing to buy an appealing doll with this torso and more substantial legs - similar to the legs on the regular Model Muse body. Dan Families belong together!
