Guest BCLouE1572382628 Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 brandnudai, Replacement stands are available and Customer Service should be contacting you directly to arrange sending you a replacement. The person you spoke with apparently had outdated information, but this has been addressed.
Guest brandnudai Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 I posted this on the Pink Side but am posting it here too just in case it is missed. I purchased 2 Princesses of Cambodia back in February directly from Barbie Collectibles. I just last week decided to debox one for display. The stand does not work. The clear plastic piece is too large for the hole in the base. I called the Barbie Collectibles customer service number and they told me that they do not carry extra stands and that I would have to send the whole doll back. If they had the doll still in stock (which they did) then I would have to send her in for an exchange. I would have to pay for shipping and they would ship another to me. I would be credited later. 1. I don't understand why Mattel doesn't carry extra stands. The black ones for the most part all the same. 2. Why do I have to spend my money on shipping to return an item that was defective due to Mattel's error. I know that I will be reimbursed for the shipping. If Mattel can't send me a stand that isn't working properly then the least they could do is send me a prepaid shipping label to return the doll. Yes, it is an inconvenience to have to drive my car, use my time, gas, tie of my funds to return this doll. 3. If she was no longer in stock then what would BC do in that case. All I want is a stand that works so that I can properly display my doll. If I hadn't of deboxed my doll until after she happened to be sold out then what would Mattel do? Please do not tell me to contact Barbie Collectibles Customer Service directly. They have not been helpful. I have seen someone else get a prepaid label for returning their defective doll. I deserve the same service. Thank you,
