should you have to log back on whenever you move between areas?

I will be on the forum for  a while. But if I try to go and buy something,  and pay for it I have to log in again. But after I log in it brings me to the guest page and my cart is empty, so I have to start all over again. I then go to log in and it brings up the shop page then I can reput stuff in and it will usually let me check out, sometimes I have to do this more then once.

Just was wondering if alot of people are having this problem. 

 I have been getting the sale and special notice emails. now.  am glad about that, because it had been broken since the change over. but now I don't always get the shipping notices right off. But I usually get them, Not sure if I want them to play around with it now that I/m getting the other emails again. rather have them then what I bought.

But it would be nice to buy something without haveing to sign in 3 to 6 times. No problem with putting it in the cart only when I go to pay.
