Guest wagonfielddl Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I would like to say I don't understand why these online exclusives have to be made available during the day when many of us East of California are at work and unable to order. A fine example of this is Shopgirl being available for sale today starting at 12:00 PM EST while I was at work and had no way to order her. I wish BFC would choose a time to make these dolls available when most working people are home from work and have a better chance of getting them. I was going to use my last $20 coupon on Shopgirl, but was unable to and now if I want her I'll have to pay more plus not be able to use my discount. The way these exclusives are made available reminds me of a feeding frenzy with all the sharks swimming around waiting to grab the bait. Sorry! It's just the way I see it!
BARBIEZANIA Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Historically speaking, Mattel has run their sales at the same time on Wednesdays since the beginning of the club about 5.5 years ago. I live on the East Coast too in NY so I know exactly what you're talking about. I missed my chance on getting a doll and was heart-broken. Since then, I made sure I was in front of my computer! I said to my boss "I have an appointment" and I was able to make the purchase at that time. Perhaps, for the next time, you can arrange to take a break from work or arrange for a family or friend to order the doll if you cannot be in front of a computer for the sales. Thank you and Enjoy!
Guest BCLouE1572382628 Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 The functional reason we do it at this time is that, due to the complexity of launching and monitoring a BFC sale, we need to do it at a time when we have a full staffing complement at affected Mattel offices.
