Am I wrong?

I have found a few places still selling the recalled Silkstone dolls, and with no mentions of the fact that they've been recalled. I think it's wrong, and I did ask one shop about it. She said even though they were still on the website, she didn't have any. On ebay now, someone is selling nude Red Hot Reviews. I don't know if anyone would be unwise enough to buy them, but if a noncollector bought them, they're essentially screwed.

I saw some of the recalled dolls at a doll show and several dealers online are still selling them too...

You are so right Javaquis! I was taking a break from collecting when these dolls came out so my only hope to buy them is on Ebay. Now I don't dare because I don't want yellow dolls! I don't know what to do but I agree that these dolls shouldn't be being sold via dealers unless they have sent in for replacements. I guess it's Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware).

The best we can do, is not buy anymore of these dolls if you don't want to take a risk of yellowing.

Dealers have all had to return unsold inventory to Mattel and were requested to stop selling them as soon as the recall went into effect.

When buying from non-authorized dealers or secondary parties, you are always taking a risk, whether you are buying dolls or anything else Don't Know

There are still dealers selling those dolls.

Are these dealers authorized Mattel dealers? I would bet that they are not & that they get their dolls from a secondary source.

Just one of the reasons (there are many) that I stick with authorized Mattel dealers like Sandi Holder.

Edited to add that I just did a quick check of 5 different doll dealer's websites (all of whom are very well known in the collecting world). 4 of these dealers are authorized Mattel dealers & none of them show the 4 recalled dolls as being available. One is not an authorized Mattel dealer & they are still offering these dolls for sale.

Collect what you love & you will love your collection.

Bigotry wrapped in religion is still bigotry.

At least the members here know about the recall and can avoid the dealers that did not co-operate. BUT, if someone wants the first issue knowing the "issues" then those dealers provide a service.

Mike is very right. If none of the corrected dolls end in the secondary market (I asume they'll do), then some people will consider buying them with yellow head and everything. I'm pretty sure about that because they are just stunning.
