Damaged Barbie Boxes

I have placed several large orders lately. When the shipments arrive, the outer shipping cartons are not damaged, but when I unpack the dolls, I find several that have badly damaged boxes (plastic covers cracked up, badly). I have found these badly damaged doll boxes after removing tissue-wrapped dolls. The tissue paper shows no damage, whatsoever. Conclusion: Damaged-boxed dolls are being wrapped in tissue and shipped to unsuspecting BFC members, especially in large-quantity orders. This is really irritating because I then have to go to the hassle of returning the dolls with the damaged boxes (last shipment there were 3 badly damaged boxes) plus I have to pay return shipping with no refund for the shipping. This is not the shipping company's fault...nor mine! I do not choose to order pre-damaged-boxed-dolls. I should not have to pay to return these dolls. Why are these damaged-boxed dolls being shipped, hidden under tissue-wrapped boxes? To return my shipment, yesterday, cost $12 for three dolls. I had to return two dolls for the same reason one month ago. Something is not right here. I can understand where I might have to pay for returning a doll if I merely didn't like the looks of it, etc., but when an outer shipping ctn is not damaged and Mattel ships obvious pre-damaged boxes to unsuspecting buyers, I should not have to pay return shipping. Not only that, but even if the outer shipping carton were damaged, Mattel would get reimbursed from the shipping company. Why are these badly-damaged boxes being hidden under tissue paper? Normally, I wouldn't unwrap a tissue wrapped doll, but I have since learned that this is a way that the damaged boxes are being disguised and then shipped. It is a shame not to be able to trust that I will get good boxes when the shipping company is not at fault for box damage, but an even bigger shame that I have to pay to return the dolls. Any explanation or response would be appreciated. I read the bulletin board but I don't participate in conversations because of biased views and "fav" members....but that's another complaint!! However, my membership dues should mean just as much as the "favs" on these boards to the BFC!

Cathy and Sweetkisses, I am sorry you are having these issues with your dolls. I suggest you PM one of the Mattel Customer Service mods, BCCS JenM or BCCS LesP to help with your situations.
