I found out today that I CAN'T EXCHANGE THE DOLL, I would get a full refund but and I could not order another HM. There is one thing I WILL NOT STAND FOR IS LIARS!!! Because I am in Canada I have contacted a reporter who works with a major news station here in Toronto. He helps comsumers who are having problems with products purchased in Canada and the US. Shame on you BC/ Mattel, you people are at fault for the defective dolls... I will not let this rest until I have a new HM with no defects. These rules have got to change. Summer-Shanel
Guest watbetty1572377759 Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I'm sorry you feel the need to vent about this but it has always been the case with the Club doll because there are such a limited quantity of them....and since it is clearly stated on the purchase page that there are no exchanges just refunds... Haut Monde sale page I really don't think that there is anything a consumers group could do for you. Of course I have been wrong in the past....but this is how I understood it.

I know it is unfair if you received a damaged doll but like Betty mentioned it clearly states refunds only. It is not the best answer I know and perhaps this can be rewritten in the future in case of damage dolls. May I ask what is wrong with your doll?

I had no knowledge of the policy. There are other BFCM who contacted CS, I assume they did not no the policy. Also AlexMarie told me to contact cs. As for the consumer reporter I am within my rights. Beylah posted a nice little primer on that when she replaced her Lisette's neck knob. Hi Betty, I saw the Refunds only, no exchanges. that could be a little miss leading. It should state, Refunds only, No exchanges on defected dolls. Buyer Beware some dolls may be defected. Guest watbetty1572377759 Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 True usually in the case of defective merchandise there is still that little chance that a company will exchange it....but sometimes there's not. That being said my HM hasn't come yet...and who knows how I would feel if the same thing happened to mine....I would probably be upset too.
