Guest VTELEVEN Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Hello Mods... A bit curious - and a quick question regarding shipping for non members compared to paid BC.com members... This morning - I was not signed in to the site - using my ipad I put two Twilight dolls into my cart and the shipping came up as 7.95 and said I could place another [approx]20.00 ...the shipping would remain at 7.95. Then I signed in a bit later and did the same thing - the shipping comes up as 8.95. Is the site making that extra dollar (albeit it's only 1.00) on each member to make up some of the sales and bonuses we get as paid members? It just seems a bit 'cheesey' to charge us more than a non-member in order to make up some of the money 'somewhere'. It's basically like ebay price gouging on shipping when an item goes for a bit lower than expected and the seller charges 20.00 to ship 3 states away... I've had that occur in the past and it just doesnt sit right with me. It's a sneaky way to make up the profit somewhere else. Like I said - I understand it's ONLY 1.00 but multiply that 1.00 times 8,000 folks ordering at least once per year...and its a nice chunk of change.
Guest TOYBOX1572402193 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I am not aware of any difference in shipping fees between BC customers and BFC members when shopping the BC online shop. Let's move this over for a BCCS representative to better answer your questions regarding shipping and shipping prices directly. Thank you for your patience, Toybox
Auntievern Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I just added two Twilight dolls to my cart as a member and as a guest and the shipping was $7.95 for both orders. Perhaps this is some sort of glich? I am sure a Mattel Mod will be able to clarify this. -- Veronica / AuntieVern ~ Member Moderator
SHEREEM Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Must've been some odd glitch ~ I also added two Twilight dolls to my cart, both signed in and not signed in and the shipping was $7.95 both times.
Guest BCCS LesP Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Dear vteleven, We were also not able to reproduce this in Customer Service. It may have just been a glitch as auntievern noted above.
