I don't have kids & my neice doesn't have access to my computer, why can't we AUTOMATICALLY login? posted by carinoh

I wanted this automatic login also, but it seems now that we have to log in twice. Are any further changes going to take place re: this issue?

jada995,

The reason we require a login is for security purposes. When you login to the bulletin board you are also logged into the store. If automatic login was used, potentially any computer you accessed the bulletin board/shop from, anyone could come along and order something.

You should be only needing to login in once, we were doing some maintenance earlier so that may have been the reason you had to log on twice. Please let us know if you still need to log on twice.

BCJim,

Thanks for your response. As a shopper, I appreciate the security aspect. However, there are many sites (ebay, for example) that allow a user to stay logged in if they choose so. These settings are computer specific. You probably know more about this technology than I do. It would just offer some ease to those of us who don't share computers. BTW, I did still have to log in twice. Once on the new page and then again on the BB page. I'm sure these kinks will be worked out.

Jada995,

At this time there are no plans on supporting automatic login. In the future we may decide to re-examine this feature, but for now we will still be using the single login.

Regarding the double login, that should not be occuring, when you login at the Barbiecollectibles.com home page, it should take you to the bulletin board already logged on. Please restart your browser and clear your cache and try again. If you are still having to logon twice, please let us know what operating system and browser you are using.
