Guest BARRBEEGIRL1572404327 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I have been a Barbie Fan Club member for many years, this new website took 6 months to open and I cannot log in on my ipad. The chart for membership shows that both gold members and platinum members get early access to the platinum dolls. Therefore, since I didn't really need the shoe pack, I went with a gold label membership this year. However, when the email for the platiinum doll was sent, it states that platinum members get early access to the platinum doll. So, if I want the doll, I would have to purchase another membership for $34.95 even though it says upgrade. To me, upgrade, means, that I could pay the difference and get a platinum membership. However, that does not seem to be the case. I talked to Sarah, at Barbie Signature and she was very nice, but in order to get platinum, I was told that I would have to pay another $34.95. This is so unfair. This should have been stated clearly. I'm wondering if I could get a refund and then purchase the platinum membership, however, I don't wish to remain on hold again in order to find out.. I have not bought any products on the Barbie Collector website since Dec. 2016 as I was waiting for my quarterly rewards. However, that is different too. Now if I'm a gold member I get $20 off of $80 and platinum members get $30 off of $100. I just don't see myself spending that much all at once. I've always had two memberships, one for me and one for my husband. I've always spent all 8 quarterly rewards and bought Barbie Collector products. So far, this year, I've spent $19.95 for a gold membership that doesn't do much for me. I must say, that I'm just not very happy and I'm not sure that I will continue with my membership. * I don't understand why my message is closed. I haven't gotten any answers!
