Membership agreement is pretty clear about this

I was trying really hard to not say a word about this subject but since we all have freedom of speech as stated previously, here goes. I think suggesting I or any other gay person in this Board has a disease that needs to be cured, pretty much breaks our Membership Agreement, right? Being disrespectful to a single person isn't quite less wrong than being disrespectful or insulting a bunch of collectors in this place. Also somebody can be insulting VERY insulting without using bad language and I've read this past weekend, the most offensive post EVER, and believe me I've read too many throughout almost a decade in here. I don't think we're attending to mass in the Barbie Bulletin Board to hear anyone preaching but if someone intends to sermonize us all in God's or Christ's name, they'd better spread LOVE instead of HATE. I don't know if this may fit in some people's mental schemes but I am gay and I feel close to God ad I follow Him. I mean HIM, not the version touched by the imperfect hand of mankind who I think got it all wrong and twisted to bring under the humanity to the priviledged ones. I simply do NOT believe God made me this way just to hate me on purpose because He is LOVE. And yes, God MADE ME like THIS. I was born gay. So for me and that's something, it's not a choice. I think if someone is not gay, he or she can't understand what homosexuality really is. Well, I could always choose to pretend I'm straight, marry a woman and repress myself making a wife, possible children and everyone around me miserable and extremely unhappy. I'm sorry but I'm not mean enough to do that. I choose freedom and I choose HAPINESS and I believe in EQUAL rights instead of a few having a priviledge. BTW, I think we all need to note the difference between religious marriage and CIVIL marriage. I can agree that I may not be allowed to marry in a Catholic Church but having a civil marriage, of course. As most of you know, I'm Spanish and we have equal marriage since the mid 2000's. I don't think it contributes to the end of the world or the end of anything. Let people be happy. Live and let live. Worry about your own marriage instead about someone else's. If you, as heterosexual, can marry and you're happy enough, you should wish the same hapiness for everyone. Why not? Two people of the same gender marrying is not going to interfere in your life but it sure is going to make those people really happy and develop a true life instead of a fake one. I't's not that once you allow our community to marry, everyone is going to magically turn into gay people. We're going to be gay because it's in our NATURE and straight people is going to be straight people.

 

I need to clarify that even though I find the previously mentioned posts are objectively offensive, I personally do not feel offended. I find them kind of funny. I also want to give the moderators praise because I know moderating is way too difficult. I think they are right and we should avoid these kind of discussions. This is a DOLL board after all.
