Guest clarus971572392940 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 To add an additional two cents on the topic, I think Mattel should really be taking a look at their advertising/pre-order policy. What I mean is if they are going to take pre-orders based on prototype photos then I think they have an obligation to change photos when they realize that the production doll/fashion is going to be markedly different than the prototype. They should pull the original photo, indicate that changes have been made, and when a production doll is available, post the new photo and allow those who have made pre-orders to cancel if they so choose. This to me would be a more respectful and ethical manner of handling the issue.
