Guest Fairy Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I have just acquired princess of ancient Mexico and I believe she is very beautiful, I love her face and costume; but the "jorongo" she is wearing is not mexican, It looks like it´s from Peru. Also, on the back of the box there is a beautiful story about a princess who lived in Tenochtitlan and was the daughter of the huey tlatoani, all of this is correct, except that she played with llamas. There are no llamas in Mexico, only at the zoo. Llamas are animals from higher and colder countries, like Perú, and there is no register of the existance of llamas in the times of the Aztec Empire. I was very disappointed. I collect these dolls because they have a huge cultural background, How can I believe in the things that are written on the boxes if I found mistakes about my own country culture? I would like Mattel to research a little bit more before writing something on the box.
