Sorry, I don't like the new website/board

I really, really don't like the new website, shop and board.

It looks "messy". It looks like it was designed by a group of high school students; in other words by some amateurs. Sorry for being blunt.

The PM section is a disaster. Again, like it was all created by an amateur.

I don't like to see "Cleopatra" everytime I go to a new page - or post a message. The "jumping" on my screen is very annoying. 

The "new" emoticons are very old and boring - I remember them from the time when I first started emailing; they must be at least 10 years old.

There is far too much white, it hurts my eyes. Why not use the entire screen and stretch the board to a normal size?

Far worse than anything I have already mentioned is the new "read only" Photo Forum. That really hit me hard. I know, our threads will be moved to the new board, but the threads are "dead"; since no new posts and/or pics will be added. 

For many, including myself, the Photo Forum was the heart and soul of the board, THE place to go. Not only to enjoy/share photos, but also to read all comments - to interact with other members about their collections.

From a marketing point of view, the new Photo Forum is not the smartest thing to do for Mattel. Do you have any idea how many extra dolls were sold over the years, just because of the many wonderful pics in the Photo Forum?

For instance, just to name one doll - I didn't like the promo pic of Capucine, so I didn't purchase her. Until I saw an amazing IRL photo Silkyfever had posted. I fell in love with Capucine after all and ordered TWO.

I suppose it is impossible to get our board back by now - but PLEASE reconsider this "read only" Photo Forum and "gallery" thing (I dislike photo galleries, yuck).

Please, make so many of us happy by reinstalling our beloved Photo Forum, just the way it was.

Thanks for your feedback.  The new website and boards are an adjustment for everyone.  The Mattel mods are looking at all feedback so I am sure the site will continue to evolve and incorporate member feedback in the coming days and weeks.
