Why don't the Mattel Toy club stores take phone orders anymore

I wish mattel Toy CLubs still took phone orders. it was great when they used to take phone orders. you could call in and hear the specials first andthen order. I know they sell returns and items with bad boxes so they would not relaly be competition for BC on line or for dealers either... except for TRU , which is famous as the home of the Bad Barbie box
