It seem as though I only find out about the conventions when I.m reading the board and it's to late to attend. Where does one go to find out about up coming conventions and registation in a timely matter to attend?

This is a volunteer-run, non-profit convention, typically put together by a local doll club and the convention Steering Committee. Mattel does not run this convention but has graciously participated in it each year. Information can be found about the current convention at barbieconvention.com. Next year's convention will be held in the LA area. It has not been announced yet where the following year's convention will be held. Information on next year's convention will be posted at barbieconvention.com, including the registration form, at the conclusion of this year's convention. Conventions do sell out quickly (although most on the waiting list do make it onto the official attendee list). There is a Yahoo group each year regarding convention. That is the best place to find information and learn more about convention. Hope this helps!
