How did Tokidoki Pink Hair sell out On Barbie website, but still available to buy at Target & Toys 'R Us?

I too sat in the, "WAITING ROOM", to buy the Tokidoki Barbie, and only had access to purchase the pink hair one. What a waste of time because I have seen her available to purchase from Target Online and Toys'R Us online for the past few months. The doll was even on sale a few times!

The pink hair Tokidoki is a general release doll available in the BC Shop, along with numerous other retailers.  The BC Shop (which is another retail outlet for Mattel) often sells out of a product that is still available at other retailers.

The limited doll was the purple hair platinum doll.
