Guest CCMEESEY1572391018 Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I've seen where people are posting that BFC Fan Club posts are viewable by the public. I have not found that to be exactly true. When I log completely out of the Fan Club (I see "Guest" at the top, close my browser & reopen it), I do see "teaser" content on bulletin board posts, but there are no links to go anywhere. I do the public comments on photos from the shop, and news items, what have you that are in the public areas, which is fine by me. But I don't get links into anything that's BFC-specific content. Not sure why some would, unless it's some kind of cookie-related thing...but just wanted to let you know that for me, at least, things seem to be functioning properly - if that's helpful information at all, I don't know. If other users are complaining that their bulletin board posts are showing on the community page, I can sort of get why they're upset. Maybe the answer is to not show *any* bulletin board posts in the Community news feed, although I think that's a bit extreme. Maybe list it without the user's name, so that people can't click into their profiles? I'm not sure how that functionality is "supposed" to work. And, I don't have any way to tell whether photos that other people have marked private are showing in the photo stream on the Community page. But if that's the case, then that should definitely be looked into.
SHEREEM Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 We do appreciate all the information. The Mattel staff will be looking at this entire issue tomorrow. Let's give them time to sort it out. If anyone is uncomfortable about the possibility of someone seeing their posts, I can only suggest that they do NOT post.
