Guest eightlttlkitties Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 We realize that our mods have no control over what the design team gives them as far as photos. But....based on every single doll that has been shown to us this year I think there is a serious issue that needs attention. We as faithful patrons of Mattel need a little reassurrance that the issue is being addressed. The most recent victim is the Mod Redux doll. I was shocked to see how she turned out! The hair is aweful. Most of us can live with changes and we understand that what we see are not the final version. But the changes that have been taking place are sad. Very poor choices for these dolls. This opinion is expressed over and over again on the forum. I hate to add to this, but we really aren't feeling very good about the chances of some sort of resolution to this situation. Understanding that our mods don't actually have a say, perhaps there needs to be some sort of online discussion forum with someone from the design team. Something! We are just feeling very negative in general about some of our dolls. Your collectors are a very loyal bunch. They've been around a long time and likely not going to go away. Sadly this fact makes it easy for the company to continue making changes that are not seemingly wise. As long as people buy them, pay the price and so forth, what does it matter. At least that is the way it seems. On this issue, I (as well as many others) feel Mattel needs to do some serious rethinking on its plans for the future. Please give us a little ray of sunshine and hope for the future of our dolls!
