Precious_Butta1572404283 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I got a letter in the mail this week informing me that my VW Bride will be shipped 7-8-11. But there is one for sale on ebay and the seller says they can ship it the first week in May. Just now I was looking at the This Just In thread and a member named tayshia said she got her VW Bride on April 18. So how come mine won't get shipped for two months?
TAYSHIA Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 my vera wang bride will not be shipped until july as well. the bride i was referring to was the second one in the collection called the romantist. i hope this helps. Tayshia Forrest Not Afraid to Express Myself Through Barbie
Precious_Butta1572404283 Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Sorry, I guess I missed the name. But there is still that seller on ebay.
Guest TOYBOX1572402193 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Items for sale in the shop are on a first come first serve basis. Items may be received into the BC shop at different times, even for a batch of 1,000, which may explain the varying ship dates and/or availability. For example, if the shop received 500 Vera Wang dolls, and shipped them out in the order received, that would mean 500 have been received by customers. Allowing some customers to resell their Vera Wang dolls on the secondary market. While the remaining 500 may be received at a later date, therefore they will ship out at a later date. This has happened to my orders on many occasions.
KATHIEC Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 While 1,000 of the VW brides were sold here in the shop, 1,500 went to dealers. It's entirely possible that one of the dealers is already shipping and that's where the eBay seller got it.
Precious_Butta1572404283 Posted April 30, 2011 Author Posted April 30, 2011 Ok, so why can the dealers ship them fast then the company who actually made the doll? The BC shop should get them first, right?
SHEREEM Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 The BC Shop is another retail outlet for Mattel, just like the dealer network ~ sometimes the BC Shop receives dolls earlier, sometimes it's a little later. Plus in the case of this doll, there was a personalization available, so that will also cause a delay in the dolls being ready to ship.
