Guest Sheridan Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Hi Carla, I don't know much about Barbie shoes but I can tell you to hold on to those ones with the hole in them! They are probably from the #1 Barbie--but I'm not sure of the value they have now. Check out ebay--they have lot's of accessories listed these days. Sheridan
Guest carlanyman Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 I am new to this area of collecting and I recently purchased three trunks full of Barbies, friends, outfits...etc. About 1/2 date from the early 1960's but some of the items are newer. The whole thing was thrown together and I have been sorting. I have most of the outfits back to their original form with all of the accessories etc and I am down to the leftovers. I have a mountain of shoes some of which are old and some newer. I have determined that Japan is good..but I have many unmarked, squishy, Phillipines, Korea, Hong Kong etc. How do I tell what is old and what is new?? This is so confusing! Also, some of the shoes have two small holes in the bottom which look like they were for a stand or something. Can anybody help me?? I would greatly appreciate it! Thank You, Carla
Guest Diamond Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 im not sure if this is going to help or not , but i recently buyed a solo in the spotlight reproduction and a vintage solo in the spotlight accesorries , the shoes are very different! they sort of look the same but the vintage shoes are very hard and not as flexible as the new kind of shoes ,
