Guest madelynvaldes Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Mr. Best, Could you or someone from Mattel confirm this is something you released and not just someone printing this out on their home computer and selling it? eBay ID 230373595419 Thanks for your time -Madelyn
Guest madelynvaldes Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I wanted to add that same seller has quite a few other "un-named" art of yours. Are they all legit?
Guest MKLEAN1572402580 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 They look like prints to me. I did the same thing for fronts to my scrapbook. But I'm not sure they can legally sell those if that is what it is. But I can tell you they are easy to do on your PC. But for your own use. I am anxious to see the answer from Robert myself. Edited to say : Though they do have some 16 x 20 but they specifically say those are Lithos & the others they say are prints on acid free paper.
GMAD1955 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Madelyn, I have been seeing other prints like this as well and wondered the same thing. Hope you get an answer. Guy
JUDYRAE Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Troy thinks they look like prints done on a copier/home printer. He has worked in the printing/copying busines for at least 15 years & these types of prints are very, very easy to do. The paper is easily purchased. I have some very nice, archive paper & envelopes that we used to do our wedding invitations. IF these were something Robert has done & were issued by Mattel, I think someone would have heard about them or seen them & posted about them on one of the doll boards. Definitely "let the buyer beware" items. Collect what you love & you will love your collection. Bigotry wrapped in religion is still bigotry.
Guest KITTYIRISH Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 They look very grainy to me, so I would vote for print as well.
Guest mschulz1572397502 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 230373595419[/quote I buy anything "Robert related" but these are suspect.. I am watching... it might go with the framed calendar prints I plan to do.
Guest mschulz1572397502 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 The sketch is included in the Costco calendar set...they might have framed it to sell.
JUDYRAE Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I have the Costco calendar set & I didn't get a sketch. Collect what you love & you will love your collection. Bigotry wrapped in religion is still bigotry.
