Guest freibarbie Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 Oh gosh, there has been A LOT of talk on the boards about this hair fiber recently... I don't think anyone has written in support of Kanekalon for collectible Barbies... Personally I don't like it at all! Also, Gold N' Glamour's hair came out so bad in Kanekalon that Mattel had to offer a replacement head. The first repro Francie's hair was awful also... not like the original at all...
Guest juno Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I want to know before I buy one. Please let us know.I feel very strongly about the quality of what I collect. That is why I stuck with Mattel, and not the Fashion royalty line, but I know alot of people are moving that way, and come on Mattel cut cost in other ways, like boxes, vintage boxes are really the only ones that are worth anything I mean these new dolls are made collectibes, the old ones are that because they were the originals and made for play these are made for looking at and styling for adults, and most are in mint condition, and are really not that collectible. So if you are going to cut anything get rid of the question sheet, and the certificate of auth. we know its Mattel.
