Points system what does it mean?

Hi I used to have 750 points but now only 25 points and my account said I redeemed -0. Is there any value to a points system ie discounts, towards shipping etc? Why did it get erased it said it was a new year, or was the balance previously on there from last years purchases and the new number is for this years purchases?

The point system was used many years ago for little rewards.  It hasn't been in use for years so the accumulated points from purchases were a part of the 'program' that just couldn't be fixed.  In essence, they are meaningless.
