Guest ZenBarbie Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Now that I've started collecting Barbie again, I ordered and received my very first Barbie Basics dolls -- Models 2 and 5 from Collection 003. I've noticed that their bodies are much slimmer than a regular playline Barbie doll. I'm still a newbie who's learning about the various body types and head molds. Out of curiosity, can you bend the legs of a Barbie Basics doll at the knees in 3 clicks like you can with a playline doll? Most of my dolls are NRFB, so I haven't freed them from their packaging yet to find out. Thanks, fellow collectors!
SHEREEM Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Most of the Barbie Basics dolls are on a Model Muse body. This body is thinner than most of the other Barbie bodies and although one leg is permanently bent, the legs do not bend any more than how the doll is posed in the box. There are some that are articulate/pivotal (this is the Jeans group of 3 dolls). Hope this helps and ask away!
